Sie wird dazu verwendet, die Art von Defekten im Holzk\u00f6rper zu bestimmen und Aussagen \u00fcber fr\u00fche Pilzinfektionen oder den weiteren Verlauf einer Pilzinfektion treffen zu k\u00f6nnen. Bei diesem Verfahren werden die Messpunkte (Elektroden) der Impulstomographie verwendet und um weitere Messpunkte erg\u00e4nzt. W\u00e4hrend der Messung wird reihum an zwei Elektroden ein Strom eingeleitet. \u00dcber die gemessenen Spannungen an den \u00fcbrigen Elektrodenpaaren kann die Widerstandsverteilung in der Fl\u00e4che berechnet werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der elektrische Widerstand im Holz ist ma\u00dfgeblich von der Holzfeuchte und der Ionenverteilung abh\u00e4ngig. Wasserleitendes, intaktes Splintholz weist in der Regel niedrige Widerst\u00e4nde auf, w\u00e4hrend in trockenerem Kernholz h\u00f6here Widerst\u00e4nde vorherrschen. Abweichungen von diesem Muster k\u00f6nnen in Hinblick auf Defekte interpretiert werden. Beginnende F\u00e4ulen sind beispielsweise leitf\u00e4higer als intaktes Holz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Es wird ein IML Electronic Picus Elektrotomograph verwendet. Die Geometrie des Stammquerschnitts auf H\u00f6he der Messebene wird trigonometrisch mit dem Argus Electronic Calliper ermittelt oder im Falle von einfachen Querschnitten als Kreis oder Ellipse beschreiben.
